Medical Development: What Can Be Done?
Despite being such a large problem, there are some basic deficits which, if addressed, will allow the state of health in Africa to improve.

Education is crucial in managing many public health issues in Africa. The spread of infectious diseases in particular can be slowed if basic truths are instilled so that precautions can be taken. Simple advice about infant nutrition can significantly minimise the effects of malnutrition.
However, education is only part of the solution - what is needed is significant investment into primary health care, particularly in areas of greater need such as rural areas. Medical treatment of malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS is moving closer to the realms of affordability and needs to be a basic cornerstone of any approach to managing the health of the continent.
You can make a difference by entering a partnership, donating or volunteering.
