Volunteering at Brydges Orphanage
Location: Ngong – 1 hour drive from Nairobi
Suitable for: anyone

Live and work in an orphanage in Ngong, just outside of Nairobi. Become a big brother or sister to the children as you help them with their homework, teach English or introduce new games and activities.
Volunteering at the Brydges Orphanage gives you the opportunity of making a real difference in the lives of needy children. The orphanage houses children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS, who come from abusive homes and children who’s parents may not be able to provide for them. The Brydges centre also houses a number of children from teenage mothers who are too young to properly support and care for them. As a volunteer you will become a brother or sister to the children and provide them with the love and support they may have missed out on. You will work alongside local staff to help with classroom teaching and homework, childcare and helping with daily operations. Volunteers are encouraged to initiate art and crafts, games, sports, dances and excursions.
You can be sure that by volunteering at the Brydges Orphanage you will make a real difference in the lives of these disadvantaged children.
