Program Itinerary
sample 3 week itinerary for Kenya: –
| Day 1 (Friday) | Arrive in Nairobi in the morning. Transfer to Karen Camp for orientation program Begin orientation in the afternoon with tour of the local area and trip to Lang’ata Giraffe Centre Welcome dinner and drinks at Karen Camp |
| Day 2 | Orientation Morning: orientation workshops on culture and safety Afternoon: presentation by representatives from volunteer placements; expectations and responsibilities |
| Day 3 | Orientation Morning: Swahili language workshop Afternoon: Nairobi city tour |
| Day 4 | Begin Volunteer Placement Morning: Transfer to volunteer site Receive a brief induction from host institution before beginning placement |
| Day 5-7 | Continue Volunteer Placement |
| Day 8-11 | Four day Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari (Optional) |
| Day 12-15 | Continue Volunteer Program |
| Day 16-18 | Trip to Mombasa (Optional) Trip to Lamu (Optional) Maasai Village Weekend Stay in Imutan (Optional) |
| Day 19-22 | Continue Volunteer Program Evening of Day 22: Farewell celebratory dinner at restaurant |
| Day 23 | Airport transfer for flight departure |

| Day 4 | Begin Volunteer Placement Morning: Transfer to volunteer site Receive a brief induction from host institution before beginning placement |

| Day 8-11 | Trek through forest of Parc des Volcanoes to the Mountain Gorillas and afterwards spend time amongst the community at the lake side town of Gisenyai |
| Day 12-15 | Continue Volunteer Program |
| Day 16-18 | Trip to Lakeside town of Gisenyai |
| Day 19-22 | Continue Volunteer Program Evening of Day 22: Farewell celebratory dinner at restaurant |
| Day 23 | Airport transfer for flight departure |
