Key Dates

Program One: commences November 28th 2011, regular program ends December 22nd 2011

Program Two: commences January 4th 2011, regular program ends January 28th 2011

While each program runs for 3 weeks this is only the suggested minimum time of volunteer placements. As each additional week costs only $180 many volunteers choose to stay for 4-6 weeks or even longer. If you are interested in a placement of two months or more please speak to your GAPS representative – we may be able to offer you a special rate for long term stays.

It is also possible to combine a Kenya and Rwanda placement. For instance you may wish to spend a couple of weeks volunteering in Rwanda after your placement in Kenya. This will simply cost $180 per week plus the cost of the flight (aprox $350)

Most volunteer placements can be arranged at any time of the year. However, outside of the above dates there will be fewer other volunteers and extra activities may not be offered. For further information speak to your GAPS representative.

Note that full payments are due 6 weeks prior to departure. If you wish for GAPS to arrange your flights full payments are due 8 weeks prior to departure.
